(Meet 15 minutes before)
9.30am: Like migratory birds, take the time to stop off at the Yves Marsh National Nature Reserve. Muddy foreshore, dunes and lagoon, marshes and reedbeds, wet meadows, tamarisk hedges, copses and thickets... A beautiful mosaic of natural environments has been created in this little corner of the coast, home to a multitude of animal and plant species. In spring and summer, discover the exceptional flora, dragonflies and butterflies... and how men and women work throughout the year to ensure the survival of this exceptional natural heritage.
11:30: Join Claire and Vincent for an aperitif. On the terrace of their fish smokehouse, surrounded by the marshes, they tell you all about their job and their passion, accompanied by a tasty tasting of smoked fish and edible seaweed.
13:00: Return to La Rochelle Tourist Office.
