9am: Departure from La Rochelle Tourist Office

10am: Meet up in Maillezais with Damien, your guide for the day. By bike, led by the sound of birds and local traditions, you'll cycle through ten or so discovery stops.
Start the day by enjoying the magic of traditional boat trips in the heart of the Venise Verte. From the canal or on land, you'll enjoy unique views and discover the history of the majestic Maillezais abbey.
12:30: Follow the cycle path along the lush green marshland to the traditional village. For lunch, treat yourself to a picnic of the finest local produce. --> Please let us know if you have any allergies. (ot.accueil@larochelle-tourisme-evenements.com)
Then, with Damien, explore the historical, architectural and hydraulic heritage of Maillé.
15:30: Finally, to round off the day, push open the doors of a craft brewery where you can sample some local beers*.
18:30: Return to La Rochelle Tourist Office
